This reading plan takes you through the Bible in a year and includes the New Testament twice. Each day includes chapters from both the old and new testaments. Proverb and Psalms are woven throughout the year. The plan brings into fold many amazing links that may otherwise be missed. Open with a prayer for the Lord’s word to be today’s bread. If you would like, try this journaling technique we call S.O.A.P. It works like this:
 
“S” Scripture. Select and write a scripture from today’s reading.
”O” Observation. Write a personal observation from the selected scripture.
”A” Application. Write a description of a way to apply this to your life today.
”P” Prayer. Write a little prayer.

Don’t be ritualistic about this; it’s just a tool that can help us. For me, sometimes its 15 minutes and other times an hour. I just follow what the Lord has for me that day and follow the pen. You will find you can go back to these later and learn about our "heart condition." It is simple and amazing.
