Community Outreach

"Citizens Helping Citizens"

Community Outreach is not a ministry of Hope Chapel, however our church is involved in doing our part for the community by monthly financial support and food donated by our congregation.  Following is information on what Community Outreach is and how your church, organization or business can become a part of this valuable program.

Did you know that...

  • there are people in need in Amelia County?
  • there are Amelians that can't feed or clothe their children?
  • there are Fellow Amelians that may be homeless or in inadequate housing?
  • there are senior citizens in need who can't take care of their homes or just need someone to check on them or give them a ride?
  • there are fellow Amelians that can't keep their power on or keep their homes heated?

For this reason Community Outreach was established!

Community Outreach is a non-profit organization created by citizens of Amelia County who have a heart to help people in need.  To reach out to people and families who are struggling.  To give a handup not just a hand out.

Committees have been established to help people in need with:

  • FOOD BANK - The Food Bank distributes food to all those in need at the Community Outreach Center.  All food is aquired by donations.
  • EMERGENCY HOUSING - This committee helps find emergency housing in emergency situations.
  • CLOTHING - Clothing is distributed to all in need from the Community Outreach Center.  All clothing is received by donations.
  • ELDERLY - This committee is set up to help the elderly with upkeep of their homes, to visit shut ins and to call those who just need to hear a friendly voice.
  • FINANCIAL COUNSELING - This committee provides counseling on proper money management.

Other committees are being formed as Community Outreach grows.

It is the hope of Community Outreach that ALL churches, businesses and organizations would come together for the betterment of ALL the people of Amelia County.

If you would like to get involved by:

  • monthly pledge
